A Japan-Netherlands Modern Art Exhibition in Nagasaki
Yvonne Boelens, the popular Dutch artist also will be present

Art Communication, who has been conducting Art Festivals worldwide, will hold “Japan-Netherlands Friendship Exhibition ‘WINDOW TO THE WORLD nljp’” at Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture in September 2007.
Next year, 2008, is 150th anniversary of trade agreement between Japanese and Dutch governments which was closed in year 1858. The year 2009 will be 400th anniversary since official opening of Dutch trading post at Hirado with official permit issued by Shogun Ieyasu okugawa. We will commemorate these historical years between both countries.
Prior to these anniversaries, this exhibition will host an unique Japan-Netherlands Modern Art Friendship Exhibition.
Out of general participation of Japanese artists 200 of outstanding works are selected by judge teams honoring also, Kisho Kurokawa, a renowned architect and exhibited along 50 works of popular Dutch artists in one venue. We expect many visitors not only from Nagasaki Prefecture but also all over KyuShu.

Galerie Buuf Amsterdam gaat naar Japan!

Galerie Buuf Amsterdam vertegenwoordigt Nederland op de “Japan-Netherlands Friendship Art Exhibition: ‘WINDOW TO THE WORLD NL/JP’”

Art Communication, een grote naam als organisator van kunstmanifestaties wereldwijd, organiseert in samenwerking met Galerie Buuf de tentoonstelling “Japan-Netherlands Friendship Art Exhibition: ‘WINDOW TO THE WORLD NL/JP’”, welke wordt gehouden van 7 tot en met 9 september 2007 in het Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture in Japan.

Sinds 1600 hebben de Nederlanders (handels)betrekkingen met Japan onderhouden, en was daarmee de enige buitenlandse mogendheid die mocht handelen met de Japanners.
Volgend jaar, in 2008, wordt het 150 jarig bestaan van de handelsovereenkomst tussen de Japan en Nederland gevierd, welke is gesloten in het jaar 1858. Met officiële toestemming van Shogun Ieyasu Okugawa bestaat in 2009 de Nederlandse handelspost in Hirado 400 jaar.
Voorafgaand aan deze vieringen de tentoonstelling WINDOW TO THE WORLD NL/JP, een unieke expositie van Japanse en Nederlandse moderne kunst.

Beeldend kunstenares en galeriehoudster van Galerie Buuf Yvonne Boelens is gevraagd aan deze bijzondere tentoonstelling deel te nemen. Als afgevaardigde zal zij een speciaal voor deze tentoonstelling geselecteerde collectie van 50 kunstwerken, schilderijen en fotografie, presenteren op de tentoonstelling en toelichten op de openingsceremonie.
De 10 Nederlandse gastexposanten:
Anneke Bagerman, Ellen van Baren, Yvonne Boelens, Harry van Gestel, Mario Keglevic, Brigitte Meuwissen, Liesbet Milort, Mark Raven, Maui Reple en Pim Stallmann.

Naast de Nederlandse zending zijn 200 Japanse kunstwerken geselecteerd door een Japanse kunstcommissie, waarin ondermeer de heer Kisho Kurokawa, de ontwerper en architect van de nieuwe vleugel voor het Amsterdamse Van Gogh museum, heeft plaats genomen.

Galerie Buuf staat altijd ter beschikking voor aanvullende informatie en illustratiemateriaal waar nodig.
